Gifts Compass administrative staff, who will have access to reports generated in your account, will be called “we” in this document. We know that you care how information about you is used, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. We are committed to protecting your personal information. This notice describes our privacy policy. By using the services of GiftsCompass, Inc., you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.
We collect minimal information provided by you when you register at our site. That information includes your email address, ID and Password, name, and the name of your GCI Advisor. We need that information in order to generate your profile and communicate with you as necessary. (For our GCI Advisor training program, we may also ask for professional practitioners using our instruments in their work to provide their city, state/region, country and phone number.)
We do not collect payment information. All payments are processed at a secure third party site using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
We store any information that you provide to generate any of our reports for you and your GCI Advisor, including the Gifts Compass Inventory (GCI), Discover Your Passion Assessment, Work Profile, the Work Profile Comparative Report.
We store the information you provide in a secure database, not accessible to Web browsers. We typically do not access it unless requested by you or your GCI Advisor. Your GCI Advisor has access to all the information we store. It is your responsibility to update any changes in personal information at the Dashboard when you log in to your account.
Experience summaries are an integral element of the GCI assessment. If you want your experience summaries to remain exclusively available only to you, we recommend that you store them separately on your personal device and do not type them in for your assessment.
We use cookies to make your use of our site and our assessments easier. We may use various outside services to track visitors to our site (eg. Facebook ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics). Those services may use cookies to build a demographic profile of visitors. We use those services to assist us in developing and refining the content of our website and in promoting the site to professional practitioners.
We use your information to generate reports that you purchase and to contact you if new information becomes available that may be of benefit to you. We only share your personal data with your designated GCI Advisor. We may provide quality feedback to your certified GCI Advisor about your assessment results. We transmit information to your GCI Advisor through our email accounts.
We do not sell, rent, or loan our subscriber or customer lists to third parties. We do not pass on your information for commercial purposes, but we may use the scores from your assessments for statistical validation studies to continually improve the quality of our assessments, or for studies in our training programs for GCI Advisors. We will not use your name or disclose your identity without your permission.
We store this information, for your benefit, for as long as you want to have access to it. You may wish to reuse one or more of the assessments in the future. Should you like us to delete all information from our database, please send an email to info@giftscompass.com requesting that we delete your account in its entirety. In that event, your data will be irrevocably deleted.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We use a secure server provided by Endurance International and their subsidiary, Hostgator, to store the information we collect. You can review their full Privacy and Security Statement here. They are headquartered in the United States and have offices around the world.
Should there be a data breach with a high risk of harm to you, we will notify you without undue delay.
You have access to all information you have provided in your account at our website. You may change or remove that information at any time. You may request that we delete or stop processing any personal information that we hold about you. You may request that we transfer your personal data to other providers or controllers named by you.
